In February, 2009, God gave Pastor Juanita a vision to build a Ray of Hope Village. God had given Co-Founding ROH Director, Susan Thompson the same vision ten years previously. In sharing Juanita's vision with Susan this year, they realized God had renewed the vision to now see it accomplished.
The drawing above is only a sample, but will prayerfully help you catch the Director's vision. We live in a world where people are desperately seeking true love. Taiwan is no different. However; in this shame-based Taiwanese society, unwed mothers are still very much unaccepted. They are lost and scared, as they often give sex in return for everyday necessities.
With a garden, fruit trees, and animals, our hope is that the ROH Village will be self-sustaining to provide for our residents. It will include a chapel and training rooms where we plan to have continued training to prepare our mamas to provide for their future. The goal is that residents will stay one year at the Village until they are able to provide for themselves.
